Although I bought this product 5 months ago, when I went to use it, it wouldn't work in the printer as it said it was out of date. On checking the box, I found the expiry date to be February 2008 - 3 years out of date. This was sold as an original which is what I expected, not a re-filled, out of date product. I have now been declined a refund due to having had it so long. I will not buy from you again.

I had heard some bad reports about the expiry dates before purchase but assumed it was a one off and since been rectified. I did however receive a 'Yellow' HP 11 ink cartridge recently in May 2011 to find that the 'warranty date end' was for the same month. This meant that the expiry date which is normally 2 years from installation would be reduced if it is installed after that date, which it will be in my case as it is to be put in stock as a 'reserve'. I feel the company who delivered it (Media Sales Online) are sending out the oldest stock available which is unacceptable in my case. The 'warranty date end' of previous purchases with other companies has been around two years from the receipt date so the time it is installed is never a problem. Please note that printing devices will not work with an expired ink cartridge.
Overall very dissappointed and maybe Amazon should address the issue as I have always found them extremely reliable for online purchase and rely on them for using reputable suppliers.

Whether I should blame HP or the company which supplies them is debatable. The cartridge is rejected by the printer for being more than 3 years old. Still waiting for a refund.
