The orchestra is accomplished, the company perform with conviction, but the actual recording is rather disappointing.
Although adequate to learn the tunes (should this be the sole reason for buying the CD), it has the sound of a record copied onto a tape, and then played through an old Grundig! (Other brands of cassette player are also available.)
Other niggles are the lack of individual tracks, so specific songs can't be selected except by fast forwarding through until they are found, and the (presumably) facsimile of an original program inside giving details of the soloists and a synopsis of the plot is so small and blurred I can't read all of it.
I did wonder why this CD was cheap in comparison to others available, and now I know.
