Wish I'd taken more notice of Mally125's review. Item arrived promptly and in good condition, but as Mally125 discovered, it leaks from the cap quite badly. It would probably be fine in an upright position without any shaking, but I expect more from a water bottle that was (hopefully) manufactured in the 21st century regardless of when it was first designed.
Although it only cost 8 pounds, I think I'll be getting in touch with Gullivers Travels and see if they are aware of any manufacturing defects which could give me a replacement/refund...
UPDATE:
Gullivers travels have provided outstanding customer service since the above. They have since sent me a replacement bottle even though I contacted them outside of their 10 day refund policy. The new bottle works fine, no leaks, so im assuming its hit or miss with the seal on this product....

Just got hold of the HIGHLANDER MILITARY 58 PATTERN 1L WATER BOTTLE AND MUG. Looked the real deal, but unfortunately it was not. It leaks like a sawn off sieve. In it's current form the only thing its good for is to vinegar my chips. It only needs a decent nylon washer in the lid to make it a water tight container.I will attempt to find a seal that matches the dimensions of the bottle, until then it is staying firmly upright and empty.

The Highlander 58 pattern water bottle and mug - arrived on time, it has a water tight seal and the mug fits snug no battle rattle( when used with an elastic band). Overall i would recemend this product to anyone.

eeeeeek! it does leak...BUT...there is hope
Yes it does leak, unless graunched up with a cloth. However a 1½" BSP rubber pump washer, fits a treat and works.

Good Solid Drinking Bottle
Well made tough and rugged 1 liter drinking bottle. The plastic is about 2 mm thick, not brittle at all, but also not soft. Should take quite a knock before it breaks. Read more
