Have been using this type of portable bbq for years & GR8 for camping.Only problem I have had with them is the burner rusts thru eventually & have never been able to find a replacement part.So you have to buy a whole new bbq,but at this price it is not such a problem.Just seems a big waste when the rest of it is OK.They can also snuff out fairly easily & need to be used in a sheltered position.

Amazingly low price for a gas BBQ; assembly took only 10 mins, and it folds down neatly to go in the back of the car. I had to pay another £20 for a regulator, clips and rubber hose, to hook it up to an old Camping Gaz tank I had around. It works fine in a sheltered spot, but easily goes out in even the smallest wind when turned down low. Leave it up too high and your food will burn up too fast!

I have had 2 of these gas BBQ,s each has lasted about 5 years before the burner rusted away, they were in regular use when we are away in our caravan usually 6 - 8 weeks a year. now looking to buy another one as they are good value for money. I have never had a problem with them blowing out unless the wind is very high but a wind break stops this.

It is small enough and the legs fold up to secure the lid in place. A bit stingy with the lava rock - really need more as it is not enough to form a full layer over the burners.

Pretty easy to put together, and only need a cross point screwdriver and a pair of grips to hold the small nuts while tightening. Mine came with Bakelite plastic handles, not wooden, and they do get hot during cooking so make sure you have some good oven gloves to lift the lid with.

Works best if you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! and leave it heating up for 10 minutes with the lid closed before you start cooking! On a low setting the flame can blow out, and because there is no flame failure device it is not a barbecue that can be left unattended when it is on.

The whole thing is quite lightly constructed, and the paint has already discoloured with use - but at this price if it only lasts a season or two I will have got my moneysworth out of it .

Don't forget you will need to buy a hose to connect it to your gas cylinder - and as I had a spare outlet on the side of my caravan for just this type of appliance I didnt need a gas regulator, just the push fit connector for the 'vans supply.

Having already had one of these portable gas barbeques before I just had to grab another one at such a great price, even bought one for my brother in law. They are small enough to stow away in caravan and quick and easy to set up for use, so much so we cook our breakfast on it when camping. I find that the lava rocks give that bbq flavour too, as replaced our last one with a gas bbq without lava rocks and found food tasted no different to any grilled stuff so didnt hesitate when I came across this buy. We are a family of four (with a healthy appetite) and plenty of room to cook our meal on it. Recommended.

I bought this item, as others have said, because the internal gas diffuser had rotted away in my old one. I bought this as a straight swap but two things were different:

1. The lid is more shallow so the legs do not lock the lid in place any more
2. There are no loops on the base to clip the legs into so it can only be sat on the ground (where it will burn the grass and any table top so be warned)

As a cheap gas BBQ it's OK but isn't a replacement for the old one so if you wanted it for that reason - simple - don't buy it!

Beware - the item delivered is actually made by 'Royal' and is available cheaper elsewhere. It also doesn't look anything like the product in the photograph.

I have yet to figure out who HHSW are.

A very disapointing product, in order to cook food slowly you have to turn the gas down low and then it goes out. Turn it up and the food burns as there is no adjustment in cooking height.

If the price seems too good to be true it's usually because it's a rubbish product.
