A fantastic book for those new (and old) to the mysteries of HF radio.
Clear, concise information that's well laid out. Covering everything from Propergation thru to band plans.

A good intro to HF,

This book is a nice intro to the world of HF, but I think you'd learn most of this from attending a radio club! On saying that, for someone that perhaps has been a VHF/UHF person for a long time, and doesn't delve into HF - or just as a brief intro for someone new into amateur radio, this book is more than enough to wet your whistle!I'd say it's a bit thin on content, although one could argue that for someone new to amateur radio, it could be more valuable? For me it was excellent, and I do re-visit from time to time. If you're not a member of a club, or don't have much exposure to HF radio, then I guess this book is invaluable - so I think if you consider the correct audience, it is a very good book indeed! All the required information is here, and I'd recommend it as essential reading if you've passed your foundation and are thinking of buying a HF set.
