Surfing the net during a lightning storm has amazing consequences for a group of teenage friends. Superhero powers are theirs at the click of a mouse! More About the Author

Andy was commissioned to officially reboot TARZAN - bringing a fresh take to the beloved Edgar Rice Burroughs character for a new generation of readers. He started writing on movie projects such as "JUDGE DREDD and "FREDDY VS JASON" and "FOREVERMAN" for Spiderman creator Stan Lee and legendary producer Robert Evans.

Andy went on to work on Warner Bros. "AQUAMAN" - while at the same time landing an eight-book deal with Oxford University Press for "HERO.COM" and "VILLAIN.NET". His childhood love of comics continues as he writes them - his first graphic novel RITUAL published by Markosia Comics, aimed for mature readers, while DINOCORPS is his latest, which is action-packed fun for all ages!

Currently he's working on numerous screenplays and getting ready to produce his first feature film.

TARZAN: THE GREYSTOKE LEGACY is the first of the new, officially rebooted, Tarzan titles - with TARZAN: THE JUNGLE WARRIOR launched during the Tarzan centenary and TARZAN: THE SAVAGE LANDS in 2013!

4.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too 3 Sep 2009
By TeensReadToo TOP 500 REVIEWER
Bored in the house one afternoon, Toby and Lorna and their friends stumble upon an interesting website that grants them superpowers for an hour. They try out the powers, not believing their eyes.

After a parent interrupts them, they're desperate to try again. They reconvene at the next possible opportunity to each sign up for powers and test them out. With their new powers comes responsibility - they now must stop a robbery in progress.

However, the foursome hasn't thought this plan all the way through. Weapons may trump superpowers. Luckily, with their new powers, they come out on top this time, but they make a new enemy: Doc Tempest.

He's got major supervillain powers and he's targeting Toby and Lorna's mother. He kidnaps her and holds her as a hostage. Can the group use their superpowers to locate his hideout and rescue her before things get much worse?

RISE OF THE HEROES has a companion book, COUNCIL OF EVIL, plus an interactive website where readers can take a test to see what side they would play for, create their own characters, and battle their friends.

It's a good read for middle school students who like comic book superheroes or for someone looking for a fast-paced adventure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book i've read in a long time... 30 May 2008
I'm not normally one to write reviews but I was so impressed with the Council of Evil and also Rise of the Heroes... I heard a lot of buzz about these books and decided to give them a go, and it definitely lives up to it...

The Hero.com and Villain.net series of books intertwine making you decide which side you want to be on, you can relive your childhood fantasy of being either a hero or a villain... I bought both books together and went for the Hero one first, but both are equally as fun to read. Thoroughly enthralled I read Rise of the Heroes practically in one sitting... It's cool the way characters from the Council of Evil (Villain.net) appear in the Rise of the Heroes and vice versa, you essentially see the story from both sides. I would highly recommend both books, for all ages and really looking forward to the next two in the series that are due out in October...

Something else I found great fun after reading the books, was that I found a cool feature on the website that accompanies the series: whichsideareyouon.co.uk where you can create your own hero or villain and then challenge your friends/enemies over email... Good fun on a Friday afternoon in the office...

A fun book for 10-14s. My son enjoyed it but I felt the characters were a little bit two dimensional.
