About the Author
Muthena Paul Alkazraji is a freelance journalist and author living in Bath. His articles have been published broadly in the UK Christian press, including Christianity Magazine and The Christian Herald, and his travel articles have been published in The Independent. His first book 'Love Changes Everything' is published by Scripture Union. He is currently working on a biography set in Albania and Kosova for HarperCollins.

Great Story, Needs A Better Telling,

After having personally met Dave Jeal on whom this story centers, I think this is one of the most fascinating stories to come out of football. To see the transformation of this guy's life is a great honor and privilege and after spending just a few hours with Dave, I think I would certainly not hesitate to call him a brother and a friend. I do wish this story would get a fresh look and perhaps some better writing behind it.
Written in 1969, I think it could get a bit of an update and facelift as we see where Dave is today. I would have given more stars for the potential of the story, but I think the writing and book art is limiting to the person initially picking up the story. To all I would say, "Don't judge the book by the cover!" |
