A good book and an interesting story that shows a real positive change in a young man's life.
Well worth the small price paid.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great Story, Needs A Better Telling, 25 Nov 2009
By Brad Kenney - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: HEART OF A HOOLIGAN PB (Paperback)
After having personally met Dave Jeal on whom this story centers, I think this is one of the most fascinating stories to come out of football. To see the transformation of this guy's life is a great honor and privilege and after spending just a few hours with Dave, I think I would certainly not hesitate to call him a brother and a friend. I do wish this story would get a fresh look and perhaps some better writing behind it.

Written in 1969, I think it could get a bit of an update and facelift as we see where Dave is today. I would have given more stars for the potential of the story, but I think the writing and book art is limiting to the person initially picking up the story.

To all I would say, "Don't judge the book by the cover!"
