Bought this in a bargain section a while back and found it really nice as a background "relaxing" DVD. The ocean scenes and tropical fishtank are seriously relaxing and show both blue ray ability and LCD/Plasma TV's at their finest.

Worth a look to be honest as a "show-off" title or as a relaxation tool.
Either way works well.

Well worth the cost of the DVD to enable quality of display on the HD TV.

Gamble on this one to view the difference of the Standard Definiton DVDs to HD DVDs and was stunned by the quality of the shots, especially shots in Antartica and Aquarium. Was put off a bit by the 2 star reviews, but decided to take the risk and buy it and use it for my Toshiba EP30, glad I did as am well impressed by the quality of a true high definiton video. Only noticable feature on this DVD is the difference in sound output as sound can be louder at times on different clips. Aside from that, if you just wanted to show off your high definiton video to your family or friends then this is the one for you.

Hi,

Just bought this blu-ray to test my FullHD LCD TV, and I got very disapointed. The video content, is just an Standard Definition video, but upscalled to HD. In a good TV set, FullHD, you notice the image to be blurry.

Nice content, but very disapointing. Next time, try to make it in real FullHD.

Best regards
Paulo Correia

I bought this simply to demonstrate Blu-Ray to friends simply to show them what the format was like without actually having them sit down and watch a full feature. For anyone who hasn't seen HD before this is a revelation. The colour and sharpness in amazing although some of the items are doubtful, after all, who wants to watch an HD fireplace????

Some reviewers have complained that they can't see any difference betweem this and SD. All I can say is that they obviously haven't got their TVs set up properly. The best way to watch this is by setting your TV to 720p as that is the format that most of it was filmed in using Sony HD cameras. We are fortunate to have an HD projector and it looks stunning and that is with a 9' x 3' screen!!!

I you want something to impress your chums with, buy a copy of this, just don't expect Citizen Kane!!!!

Mine did play on the XBox HD DVD drive, but only as far as the title page. On normal DVD it played the 'scenes' at accelerated speed. Even at £7 it's not worth it.

It didn't work with my xbox 360 either, until I trawled the web (AV Forums) for the solution, specifically a patch to be downloaded and burned to a blank disc, then inserted into the xbox drive.

Once up and running, it does what it says on the tin and previews other HD-DVDs you can buy. It's handy purely and simply because you can then decide what cowpats to avoid buying, even if this did initially seem to be one of the biggest of them!

So three stars 'cos it serves it's purpose. No more no less.

Good for "showing off" your new HD telly I guess, but a little dissappointed with subject matter, it's no "Planet Earth" but then it is cheap
