I'm an aspiring film maker and I've been told by many people in the know that these cameras with the HD video recorder are a great, and cheap, way to get quality video. Obviously I will probably need to buy a particular lens but I'd mostly like to know just how robust the video recording options are with this camera. If anyone can give me some information, or tips or advice I'd be very thankful. I'm aware this is a photo camera and its not common to record video using these kinds of camera but a lot of people are using them for video.

I would also like to know more about the video, is it easy to put into iMovie? I gather it does 25fps.

Hi. Buy a wifi SD card to download your photos to iMovie there simply great to use with a wifi SD card enabled camera like the Nikon D3100.
