I'm a Gym Rat who bought this book as a gift for a friend who just opened his own gym. He doesn't state it but, reading between the lines, the author seems to have been running his own gym in London since the sixties. A slim book but lots of very good tips on how to maximise gym profitability: What to look for in a gym location, sales psychology, how to structure prices for maximum profitability, how to save money when starting up and when buying equipment, what makes the best employees and where to find them, which advertising methods work best, etc, etc. He hightlights the ideas that have worked very well for him over the years and also those that didn't work so well so you can avoid them. Its a worthwhile book full of ideas and advice for gym owners and managers.
