Product Description
Half Man - Half Alien - All Hero. The Guyver is the ultimate weapon, a mysterious mecha of alien design. When activated the unit interfaces with human subjects, transforming them into powerful combatants. Something alien has invaded the body of Sean Barker and it s the ultimate power of the Guyver. While searching for the truth, he is drawn into the caves of Utah where he discovers the Kronos Corporation, a corrupt alien corporate empire with two deadly aims... to steal the super powers of the Guyver and to take control of the Earth. An incredible battle ensues between the two most powerful forces in the galaxy, the result of which may ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

Even though this movie is not up to date in today's CGI Animation productions, it was still one incredible film!!! I strongly suggest this movie to all retro/old school Guyver and Power Ranger fans. All In All This Movie Is Definately Worth Seeing.

If your looking for a live action version of Yoshiki Takaya's long running Manga then your going to be disappointed. Howeverm if you've come looking for a great and original Sci-Fi film than your in for a treat. Sadly all but the image and mechanics from Takaya's original, but Guyver: Dark Hero is a wonderful story following Sean Barker, the Guyver - "infected" with the Guyver a alien armour that drives him to correct it's creator's mistakes, shape-shifting killer monsters called Zoanoids.
If you pick up this story and are a bit lost at first it might be worth mentioning that this is a sequal which, I'd recommend finding The Guyver [DVD] [1991] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] which sadly has only ever been release in the UK on VHS under the title of Mutronics back in the 90's.
All in all the film didn't have the biggest of budgets, but it doesn't disappoint for what it is. The creature effects are adequate enough not to look B-movie, but sadly are far from the terrifying creatures of Takaya's original. It's definately worth a watch, give it a go you won't be disappointed.

I first saw the original Guyver movie starring Mark Hamill of Star Wars Luke Skywalker fame...which was good in my opinion and one if available in Region 1. I would also get...
This movie follows on from that original and David Hayter plays so well that he looks in all sense of the phrase...the locigal successor...he makes this movie his own.
The story is based on the Japanese original storyline from the animee series, but set in America (where else...) and goes a little more further into how the Guyver came into being...its all science fiction folks...beings from another world creating something that can only come out of someone imagination...I take it for its entertaining value and know that some people will not like this kind of movie...of this I don't worry as there are plenty of movies other people do not like that are fiction in other genres that i'm not keen on either...
Its basically take it or leave it...
