A good way to open your eyes to the idea of health through digestion, but some of the messages are confusing. If you're suffering from one of the specific ailments covered - such as asthma, migraines, constipation or low blood sugar - this book gives a clear, gentle plan of how to change what and how you eat, in order to allow your body to heal rather than struggle to cope with the wrong foods on an overloaded system. If you're looking for a general health overhaul, though, there's too much mixed information. Acid-producing foods vs. alkaline producing foods: sometimes they're good, sometimes bad, but which & when is hard to work out. Skip the over-technical first chapter on the biology of the intestine, and take a big (metaphorical) pinch of salt with all the "science" claims about toxins burrowing and blocking your system, and pick out the good common sense advice.
For details about diet plans, look elsewhere, but a great place to start considering your health.
