5.0 out of 5 stars Traveller, the best just got better, 28 Oct 2001
This review is from: Gurps Traveller: Ground Forces (Paperback)
Many years ago my friends used to play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, not very impress with the game I did not play very many games. Then a company called Game Designers' Workshop brought out a game called 'Traveller'. It was the very first science-fiction role playing game, and I was hooked. After many years Game Designers' Workshop is sadly no more, but Traveller still lives on. Taken up by Steve Jackson Games using his fantastic GURPS system, the book is written by Loren Wiseman, one of the founders of Game Designers' Workshop, basically it is the same game by run with using an even better gaming system. Long live The Imperium.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do you have what it takes?, 17 Oct 2002
By Sean Riedinger - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Gurps Traveller: Ground Forces (Paperback)
This book has it all. Maps, history, weapons, organizational charts, slang, traditions, characters, special forces, citations, orders, military justice, battle dress, drop ships, operational procedures... (deep breath). Even if you know nothing about the military, you can read this book, and run a campaign that'll leave your players thinking you're a retired SgtMaj.
So there I was...

5.0 out of 5 stars A good BTDT sourcebook, 28 Jan 2001
By Mark J. Urbin - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Gurps Traveller: Ground Forces (Paperback)
The author is a former US Army NCO and applies that sense of "Been There, Done That" to his writing. This is a good source book for any Traveller rule system.
