About the Author

Justin Luke Zirilli is the co-director and head promoter of BoiParty.com, a New York-based gay nightlife events company. He and his business partner, Alan Picus, throw weekly dance parties around New York City, and larger events across the United States. In addition to event planning, Justin feeds his addiction to social media as the creator of Gorgeous, Gay and Twenty-Something, a private international Facebook group; as the New York correspondent of the national gay talk show, The Swish Edition; and by moonlighting as a social media and new business consultant. When he isn’t glued to his computer screen, or traversing NYC’s gay party scene, he spends his time in Hell’s Kitchen, playing PlayStation and watching Battlestar Galactica with his boyfriend, Joe. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

What a waste of time and money. Purile and pretentious. If this is what Gay America thinks is literature I see little hope for the future.

Great Gulliver follow-up 10 Mar. 2013
By Escarella - Published on Amazon.com

OK, so first of all. This is not erotica, although there is a lot of sex in it. It is definitely not romance. So, if you're looking for m/m romantic erotica, especially of the type written by/for women, this ain't it.

I think this isn't a great stand alone novel if you haven't yet read the first Gulliver book, do so. It also isn't erotica. It is a character study about a gay 20 something who moves to NY and does a bunch of dumb things. This book just kind of fills in some key elements of a climactic event.

There are a lot of sex scenes, all m/m and written quite explicitly but not particularly attractively (they are not meant to be beautiful). Mostly, this book is laugh out loud funny and then will make you reach for the Kleenex box. I will be waiting with bated breath for the next installment, I hope one is coming! Soon! As annoying as all of the characters are in their own way they kind of grow on you...

Unenjoyable read 27 Nov. 2012
By Mark Long - Published on Amazon.com

I mostly enjoyed the first book; however, this book seems to be all about the things I didn't really enjoy in the first book. The characters portrayed here have little or no redeeming qualities. Brayden should be in jail, and I cannot believe the rest if these people would accept violent behavior as just a personality quirk. Marty is a prig, and acts no better than the catty theater queen Grant. I couldn't even read the chapter on Servando and Rowan as they were that annoying. Chase and Todd were the only two I could remotely care about, yet what we get us mostly superficial. The other irksome thing is the disdain the author has for anyone over the age of 25. Any older man is portrayed has repulsive and disgusting and not fit to be seen in the light of day. Seems Justin has some specific issues there. All in all I was disappointed with this book and not really looking for another book of more of the same with people I just really don't like.

A Novel for Gossip Lovers 20 April 2013
By Beau - Published on Amazon.com

Despite how I felt about Gulliver Takes Manhattan, I couldn't put it down so I was quick to pick up Gulliver Takes Five. The author uses this bioas an opportunity to expand on the supporting characters from Gulliver Takes Five, and they each star in their own chapter. Every chapter takes place on the same day, which happens to be the most pivotal time in Gulliver Takes Manhattan; so make sure read that one first. Gulliver appears fleetingly.

This is sure to make you view the characters in a different light!

I've recommended this book to all my friends! I read the first one and the fast paced nature of it was amazing. A total whirlwind!
