The appearance of this book is a bit surprising (it seems to have been printed using a photocopier, and font size varies wildly mid-sentence in places), but once you get over this you'll find some really useful information on guitar repair here. All the most common repair tasks are covered in the text, including warped neck, action and buzzing, refretting, cracks and fractures, loose braces, seam separation and bellying of top, and the restoration of antique instruments is also covered. The black and white illustrations, which again look like photocopies, are nevertheless clear and helpful. The book was written over twenty years ago, and there have been advances in things like tools and adhesives in that time, but this is still a useful manual for anyone starting out in instrument repair.
