I can't really say anything that any of the fine people to review this before me haven't. I'd just like to reinforce how absolutely essential this game is. I bought it the other day about an hour after playing the ps2 version at a friends house and have not stopped playing it since! The only quibble I have is that, when attempting to "rock out" (flip-up-the-controller thing)it might take a few tries and seems a lot less sensitive than the ps2 version. Then again maybe it's just mine. Forget your fancy graphics, storylines and headshots. All you need is your xplorer, some space and a *lot* of practice.

I've waited months and months for this to come out, and it was worth every second! It starts off easy, with a good training mode, then they crank it up little by little until you really feel like you're rocking out.
It's a brilliant game for a night in with some mates, as there's something for everyone to have a go at, and there's so many songs you won't get bored for ages. Longevity is pretty good too, as the harder levels require a lot of practice. You won't notice the time slipping by until your fingers start to hurt and your eyes are dry from staring at the telly. Don't just sit there, go buy it!

I had played this on the PS2 at a party and thought it was great fun while waiting behind a queue of adult guitar heroes for my turn. And it was. So when I saw the xbox version, I took the plunge.
Set up is dead simple and you'll be playing within minutes, and although initially you feel it could take forever to learn even the basic stuff, the game soon pulls you in with your score and competence slightly increasing with every song. More than that though, it's just great fun and had me laughing out loud as the game seemed to try it's hardest to make it just that wee bit beyond my present ability. Typing this, I'm itching to go back and have another go to see if I can finally manage that first song on Easy level! I had a look at some of the Expert level stuff and wondered can anyone ever get to that level? I bet they can, but by that time they will have forgotten what it is to have a life. A brilliant game from the word go, I'm looking forward to hours of not quite mindless entertainment on this, which is what all the best games are about.
