5.0 out of 5 stars Best... 17 Jun 2009
By Gizmo
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I have played and owned more or less every guitar hero controller that has come out and believe me when i say, this is the best one yet. The buttons aren't hard to press, they don't get stuck, and it just feels a lot smoother in a way... I don't guarantee anything, but i play a whole lot better with it. Also, the fact that it isn't wireless is so much better for people like me, you don't need to go around looking for spare batteries or a charger all the time.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
i love this controller much better then the one that came with legends of rock which comes in two bits and was very loose and kept missing the green and yellow notes . this one is the perfect size for me and being wired doesnt have the same problems as the wireless ones

Reliable and good fun, although smaller than GH3 guitar. Compatible with all Guitar Hero and Rockband games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Guitar Hero X Plorer Wired Guitar Controller 1 Jan 2010
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Excellent guitar. Purchased for use with Lego Rock Band for my 8 year old son. He found it easy to "strum" until he can multi task with the colour coded keys also!!. The strap adjusts to fit kids (and Adults to play when the children have gone to bed!!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Controller, best yet. 2 May 2010
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I've always found that the wireless guitars break after just a couple of months of plaing with them. I have now had this one for over a year and it has not degenerated in any way. The strum bar registers instantly and still has not failed to register a strum depite the battering it has encountered. The buttons never get stuck as they have done on previous guitars that i have had - although at first some of the buttons may seem quite stiff they soon loosen up. I saw a review that said you cant use the back/select button to activate star power; this is a myth, the star power can be activated using the back/select button or by tipping your controller vertically if the option to do so is selected. Overall I give this a good 9/10, I see no fault with it, yet i am hard to please... I always think there is room for improvement, even if i can't see where it could be improved.

5.0 out of 5 stars A controller like Hetfield's guitar! 16 Jun 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought Guitar Hero: Metallica and this controller came as a gift. I also have Rock Band 2 and its controllers, so this controller is a different one than the Rock Band guitar controller. The Guitar Hero guitar controller seems better to me, because the buttons that correspond to each note are not continuous. This way, it's easier to recognize the whereabouts of your hand on the buttons without having to look at them. A special bump on the yellow button (the middle one) helps too.

Furthermore, combining the Rock Band controllers (drum kit, guitar & microphone) with this guitar controller, we can now enjoy both Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: Metallica as a full 4-piece band!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! 25 Aug 2014
Very pleased with this, bought it because my previous wireless guitar broke. Exactly as described - the USB cable slots into the Xbox 360 console, and away you go! The cable doesn't really bother me, in fact it will save me money in future because it doesn't require batteries like my old guitar.
Comes with various stickers to stick onto the guitar, and a strap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy controller 13 Jun 2009
Verified Purchase
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
My husband has been using one of these ever since GH 2 came out, which was over 2 years ago. It's very sturdy and he likes the feel of it. I moved onto a newer model but no matter what gets released, he sticks to his trusty white explorer :-)
Good guitar, definitely worth getting as it's a lot more reliable than the new guitars.
