I have a lot of guinea pigs and believe I have read almost every book on the lovely little subjects. This is by far the most useful, comprehensive and beautifully laid-out book I have seen. I have read and re-read it, it's my bible which I am constantly refering back to. Alot of the guinea pig books tell you all the same sort of information which gets boring. This is a fantastic book and I very highly reccomend it to new and experienced, young and old guina pig keepers. It's a good as having a guinea pig vet at your finger tips, I would not be without mine!!! GET IT, KEEP IT AND LOVE IT. Don't even bother with the rest unless you come accross one by Mr Keeling who writes the most enchanting tales of putting his guinea pigs on trains with gummed labels on their ears for shows in the 50's, really funny book.

I got this book 2 years ago. Since then I have found myself referring back to it time and time again. It contains very detailed, but straighforward help on choosing a guinea pig, and caring for it, the anatomy of the guinea pig, A-Z of hamster diseases, breeding, and showing them. I have 17 years of guinea pig experience, and still found this book to contain things I didn't know about them. I would recommend this book to any guinea pig owner, no matter what experience you have. A truly brilliant book.
