Book Description

1 Sep 1996 Deer Lake
A cold-blooded kidnapper has been playing a twisted game with a terrified Minnesota town. Now a respected member of the community sits in jail, accused of a chilling act of evil. But then another boy disappears, triggering panic in tiny Deer Lake. Have the police caught the wrong man? Or is there an even more sinister mind calculating each perverse move?

Prosecutor Ellen North believes she's building a case against the right man—and that he has an accomplice in the shadows. Suddenly she's swept into their dark game, her role changed from hunter to prey. And soon she wonders if she's a match for her opponent...an evil mind as guilty as sin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Evil lurks in small-town America 29 Jun 2001
Format:Paperback
After reading Night Sins I thought it would be hard to better it for psychological tension but I was wrong! This book subtly and entirely effectively weaves a thread of fear and mistrust through your mind. The characters are wonderfully 3-dimensional, each one a bundle of neuroses that make them fascinating to observe. It would have been very easy for this to be a rehash of the first book but Ms Hoag lifts it to a whole new, fascinating level. Suffice to say I loved this book and so will anyone who has read Night Sins. An absolute must for all whodunnit fans but read them in order to get the full spinechilling effect.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sustained climax 23 Aug 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
To fully enjoy this novel you must read "Night sins", to illustrate the background to this book. "Guilty as sin" is a story full of many twists and turns, that you will not guess until the very last page! If you enjoy John Grisham'S novels, these two books are a must. However, it must be noted that there is a more romantic element to Tami Hoag's novels.

5.0 out of 5 stars good 4 Mar 2014

I like reading Tami Hoag novels. They are really gripping. Just wish they were numbered by story as I have read a book and then found I should have read a previous title first

2.0 out of 5 stars Repetitive and boring 14 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The story seemed to be padded out with continuos plot debate without actually getting anywhere. The main character was seemed too emotional and didn't respect her abilities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tami Hoag - Guilty as Sin 25 Nov 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was an extremely good book - keeping you enthralled until the very end. I always enjoy Tami Hoag's books. The only negative I always find - and it is a matter of personal taste - there is too much explicit description of the sexual theme. I am not a prude - BUT her books really do not need these pages to sell her books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 2 parter 5 Nov 2013
By Rosie
Format:Paperback
A great 2 parter. The second book was much more intriguing and a fantastic ending. Definitely worth persevering with night sins in places to get to guilty as sin.
