I loved this book, I hear some people saying it is a bit over the top but that is what I loved, isn't that what escaping reading a book is all about. It kept me on the edgeof my seat for sure, every spare second of the day I was picking it because I couldn't bare not knowing what was going to happen next. I thourougly enjoyed it and I would hihly advise this book to anyone. I cant wait to read my next JP :)

I've never read a James Patterson book before but decided to try him out as so many people seem to be impressed! BUT, I've read a few pages & can't believe the unbelievably silly, yet incredibly beautiful female characters away in Monaco enjoying a scandalous weekend break - clearly written to attract the film world but sadly, not me! Having introduced the 4 main female characters, we are then introduced to the 4 unrealistically drawn irate husbands! Oh dear!
However, I shall persevere as the reviews on this book are encouraging..... I shall report back!

I am a HUGE J.P fan, and felt the begining of this book was 'slow' and lacked its normal adreneline rush I usually get from his books. I couldnt wait for this book to come out- but when it did I found the first half of the book not as well conducted as some of the better ones I've read. I have to say- when Abbie and her freinds were sentanced, this had me gripped and I found it hard to put down. From there on in, I found this book quite emotional and throughly enjoyed the other half of the book and I would HIGHLY recomend perspective readers to perservere and read to the end.

I usually enjoy James Patterson books, quick light reading and usually gripping, inbetween reading classics etc but this was really a waste of time, there are plenty of other good JP books to read so don't bother with this one!

I am surprised at the positive reviews so far: this author has produced some great books, but this one is not one of them.

The plot is boring, the characters are just not believable, never mind likeable. I can suffer a small dose of clichés regarding the story being set up in Monte-Carlo and France but why could the author not have his French dialogues proof-read by a French person? Most sentences are complete gibberish.

I picked up the book before a flight and ended up reading the emergency landing instructions, they were so much more entertaining.

Couldn't put this down - up to his usual standard - really loved it and was sorry when I had finished it and couldn't look forward to picking it up.

Four wives (who are also best freinds) fly off to Monto Carlo for a girly weekend away. SerenaS marriage is not that good. Bryah has a marriage where her husband is at times quite physically abusive and also controlling. Winnie and Abbie also have quite good marriages.

They have a really good time going to casnios, clubbing, drinking lots of champagne, sun bathing flirting with other men. When the girls hook up with some other men they take the girls to a yacht and they end up sleeping with then men. When the girls get woken up the following morning by the police the men have gone and the French President is dead on the yacht. There dream weekend is no longer a dream but a nightmare.

You then follow the way the girls are treated by the police. You go through the court case and then when they are sent to jail.

Early on in the book you are given a huge clue as to what happens but you then follow the girls try to piece eveything together to get themselves freed.

I did enjoy most of this book but I found the whole court case bit a bit boring and also the first 2 or 3 chapters but apart from that I did enjoy it.

I very much enjoyed this book, but thought at first that it was a "female" book. However, my husband read it and enjoyed it as well. There was the usual James Patterson twist to the story but the ending seemed a little predictable. Good book, well written!
