4.0 out of 5 stars Fab book, slow to start... 17 Aug 2012
By Pep
Format:Kindle Edition
I am a HUGE J.P fan, and felt the begining of this book was 'slow' and lacked its normal adreneline rush I usually get from his books. I couldnt wait for this book to come out- but when it did I found the first half of the book not as well conducted as some of the better ones I've read. I have to say- when Abbie and her freinds were sentanced, this had me gripped and I found it hard to put down. From there on in, I found this book quite emotional and throughly enjoyed the other half of the book and I would HIGHLY recomend perspective readers to perservere and read to the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raw and Thrilling 14 May 2013
Format:Hardcover
I loved this book, I hear some people saying it is a bit over the top but that is what I loved, isn't that what escaping reading a book is all about. It kept me on the edgeof my seat for sure, every spare second of the day I was picking it because I couldn't bare not knowing what was going to happen next. I thourougly enjoyed it and I would hihly advise this book to anyone. I cant wait to read my next JP :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish 30 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I love James Patterson but hated this. Terrible boring story line, unbelievable plot. I gave up after reading 1/3 of the book, something I've never done with a James Patterson book before. Don't waste your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars guilty wives 25 July 2013
By tangii
Format:Paperback
I've never read a James Patterson book before but decided to try him out as so many people seem to be impressed! BUT, I've read a few pages & can't believe the unbelievably silly, yet incredibly beautiful female characters away in Monaco enjoying a scandalous weekend break - clearly written to attract the film world but sadly, not me! Having introduced the 4 main female characters, we are then introduced to the 4 unrealistically drawn irate husbands! Oh dear!
However, I shall persevere as the reviews on this book are encouraging..... I shall report back!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother! 13 Mar 2013

I usually enjoy James Patterson books, quick light reading and usually gripping, inbetween reading classics etc but this was really a waste of time, there are plenty of other good JP books to read so don't bother with this one!

2.0 out of 5 stars Guilty Wives 8 Aug 2012
By julieR
Format:Kindle Edition
Sorry James,

I have read your books since Jack & Jill, Cat & Mouse etc, but this has to be the weakest of them all!!! The plot as such was none existent, the reading was just dire!! It was BORING!!!!!! Yawn!
Have you thought about writing on your own again? The plots were more intense and I could escape in them. I stopped reading Alex Cross a while ago, they got bogged down in Nana & the kids.
So I took up The Womens Murder Club. Brill, for awhile and once again, the murders and plot went to the detectives lives etc... Too much, James! I only read Michael Bennett, the first novel, and its not for me, to much realism!!!! Ten kids, widower. We want to escape from this!!!
Your stand alone thrillers, were SO good. What happened to this one????????
PLEASE go back to being YOU, because I cannot recommend this latest one.
Sorry!

4.0 out of 5 stars Guilty Wives 1 Sep 2012

I very much enjoyed this book, but thought at first that it was a "female" book. However, my husband read it and enjoyed it as well. There was the usual James Patterson twist to the story but the ending seemed a little predictable. Good book, well written!

4.0 out of 5 stars good read
Gripping stuff. Keeps you in suspense. Initially you don't sympathise with the characters but later you do. It's a good read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heart stopping read.
Can James Paterson do any wrong - no. This is another one of co-written books, but it has not been diluted in any way, it is still a fast paced heart stopping story.
