Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

If you are looking to immerse yourself more in games, then there is no better way than by using the X-Box Freestyler Board from Thrustmaster.

Designed to look like a traditional snowboard, skateboard or even a surfboard, the idea behind the X-Box Freestyler as you can imagine, is to jump on and ride your way to victory in games such as Amped and Tony Hawk's 3.

With a safe non-slip surface--it won't stop you falling over when trying to perform that inverted backflip somersault mind you--and a weight support of up to 260 pounds (18 and a half stone) means that this board is for grown-ups and kids alike.

In addition to the board, that is tilt sensor controlled, you also get a one-handed controller for an extra actions that may be needed.-- Jason Denwood

Manufacturer's Description

Realistic look and feel, the FreeStyler Board offers skateboard and snowboard enthusiasts a chance to get busy in the comfort of their home. With a non-slip surface and tilt sensors, the FreeStyler will have you thinking that you're on the slopes or in your local boarder park. If you have a snowboard or skateboard game, and are tired of the predictable moves you get out of your controllers, then this board is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Freestyle board, sounds extravagent but is essential!, 22 Mar 2002
This review is from: XBOX Freestyler Board (Video Game)
Initially the board was a voyage into the unknown, 70 pounds for the freestyle board sounds like an expensive waste of money, however just one go on AMPED convinced me otherwise.Being an ex-snowboarder i was somewhat sceptical but it delivers 'realistic' movement to the game and increases the involvement in it 100 fold.

It takes a bit of time to get used to ( as instructions with the board itself and the game are nonexistant...)but gamers will adapt to it easily. There is nothing more satisfying than landing a 720 rodeo blindside to rail, with almost no button clicking at all, my only worry is that i will fall off the board whilst attempting some of the inverted moves!

Having played Tony Hawk 3 on the ps1 i cannot wait to get it for the most excellent X-box.

My only critisism is that there is no instructions that actually help both in the game and with the board....the xbox logo faces the xbox ( so you don't, as i did, start it the wrong way round)

Young you are , much to learn you have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Freestyle controller, 25 July 2004
This review is from: XBOX Freestyler Board (Video Game)
I bought one of these snowboard controllers to play SSX from one of amazons alternative retailers for about £25.
I was suprised and pleased at the size and strength of it and jumped on to have a play, my brother and wife also decided they wanted a play so we bought 2 more although my xbox only seems to let us play 2 player with them.
Very good fun, we have 2 my brother has one and for £25 its a real bargain.
