This book is brilliant - it helped make our second visit to WA so very memorable. We are now planning our third visit to this beautiful, hospitable, fascinating part of Australia and the book has been invaluable in helping us plan our month's holiday and book accommodation ahead over the internet. I only wish it had been available to help us on our first visit because we missed so much that time.

We have stayed at several of the places mentioned in the book so can vouch for the accuracy of descriptions. We have also visited a few (!) of the wineries - some of which we came upon quite by chance. We are now looking forward to expanding our knowledge of Australian wines by visiting some of the locations that we have discovered through the pages of this Touring Guide.

When you return from your fantastic holiday, you will read the book over again to bring back the memories.

The authors' enthusiasm for the subject, the superb and atmospheric photographs, the helpful maps, the interesting facts about wines and the recommendations, make it a must for anyone thinking of travelling to W.A. There are even suggested itineraries for the lazy or confused visitor!

We thoroughly recommend this book - cheers!

We have just come back from 2 weeks of partly wine-based touring in Western Australia, armed with this book and the Lonely Planet W.A. guide. Not only was this book extremely helpful w.r.t. wineries, but was also the better of the two as an overall tourist book. The regions that it covers are slightly limited (to the presence of vines!) but within these regions there is lots of great information about general sights, accommodation, and restaurants. The book is helpfully laid out into colour-coded regions, with good maps of each and excellent margin-details of opening times, phone numbers etc. If only there was one of these for all the other wine regions of the world.
