Book Description

1 Dec 2000

This book is a thorough and yet straightforward guide to the Bach Flower Remedies and how to use and understand them. It is written in the language of our time while it retains the timeless clarity of Dr Bach's work. This book is thoughtful and yet easy to read.

The Bach Flower Remedies are a simple and natural method of healing which works with the emotional state of a person rather than the physical illness. They act to harmonise and balance the personality, to counteract such things as irritation, fears and guilt which Dr Bach saw as the real cause of illness and unhappiness.

Julian Barnard is director of Flower Remedy Programme and Healing Herbs Ltd, one of the companies who make flower remedies in England. He also works as a writer and teacher, living with his family in rural Herefordshire

4.0 out of 5 stars A Concise Introduction to Bach Flower Remedies 27 Aug 2010
By Yervant Kutchukian - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
With this slim volume, Julian Barnard provides a concise introduction to the Bach Flower Remedies. He outlines Dr Edward Bach's discovery of the remedies, how they are procured, prescribed, and used. Of particular interest is a description of 38 flower remedies entailing what symptoms and psychological states they treat. Barnard also includes a section on diagnosis as well as the possibilities of dowsing as part of diagnosis. While anyone with more than a cursory interest in Bach Flower Remedies would certainly want to look farther afield for more in depth treatments of the subject, Barnard's work provides a solid introduction to the remedies and includes a respectable bibliography for further reading and one source (his own company) whence the remedies may be obtained.
