This is an excellent booklet, split into different sections on different events, making it very easy to get a very comprehensible overview and history of each sport. There are also explanations of the rules, (very useful to me for the less well known sports eg beach volleyball), making it easier to follow an event. There are even tips for who is expected to do well or has a good reputation in each sport which is handy if you want to choose which matches/ events to watch in a big televised shedule. An invaluable easy read guide for anybody.

3.0 out of 5 stars Useful and interesting 31 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
With so many disciplines in the Olympics, it can be difficult to understand and appreciate them all. This book explains all of them. The only problem I had was with the font size - this is set to 'very small' and was only readable on one of the largest settings on my Kindle. Nevertheless very useful while watching the more obscure events.
