I bought this book a few months ago and I was in part disappointed and in part surprised! The book is good for absolute beginners but is not choc-a-block of completely creative ideas for others! Since I have been scrapbooking for some time, I was disappointed to see the same old 'typical craft magazine contents' rehashed and put into this book.
But there are also some fun and inspiring ideas and layouts! Some fresh takes on old ideas are also inspiring! On the whole, not a great book but can definitely recommend it for beginners.

I'm always stuck in a rut whenever it comes to journalling on my scrapbook layouts, I just go blank.

I bought this book in the hope that it would be a very helpful source of inspiration. I was not wrong, it has some great ideas and layouts that will definitely help anyone. Lots of ideas that you just wouldn't think of, I'm very pleased with it and have even copied some of the layouts!

I always find the journalling hard, so was looking for something to give me a nudge. This book has good ideas for display and lay out of captions and journalling, if you can get past the actual content of the writing, which is very sentimental and bordering on the mawkish.[I am tempted to say very American, but don't want to hurt anyone's feelings!]I would be far too embarassed to actually write about my friends and family in this manner, and they would curl up if I did. However, there are good ideas for layouts which I will use, with content which has been 'toned down' to suit.

I have quite a few books on scrapbooking, but this is one of my favourites. It sets out different ways to create your journalling such as lists single wordssong lyrics etc. I found it very helpful for my jornalling, it sparked lots of ideas.
