Product Description

From the Author

This is the first book to be written on this subject.
This text is appropriate for those practitioners already using this technique and for those who have yet to discover it. Precision Reflexology holds the same rationale as other forms of reflexology. It focuses on stimulating "reflex points" on the feet to maintain good health. Precision work connects to a person energetically, responds to the needs of each individual and aims to maintain natural balance. It does not rely on physical pressure but, at the same time, it can be powerful and effective. It can be taught in its own right or it can be adapted to enhance other forms of reflexology in post-graduate training. It provides an added dimension to a treatment and reflects an Eastern approach to healthcare. This book offers a step-by-step guide, with illustrations and charts for its application....

This review is from: A Guide to Precision Reflexology (Paperback)
Many have heard of Reflexology but few have heard of Precision Reflexology. Precision Reflexology is a specific style of treatment. The treatment requires a great deal of input from the therapist and involves connecting with the client on a body energy level. One of the main aims of the treatment is, therefore, to connect and harmonise the body. One important aspect of this type of Reflexology is that it is a very interactive treatment. The practitioner allows the client to take what they need in a physical, spiritual, mental and emotional sense. The practitioner is simply giving the body an opportunity to heal itself. A technique used in Precision Reflexology that sets it apart is called 'Linking'. Linking involves connecting two or three reflexes together to provide definition and strength to the treatment. This is a very innovative book. It is the only book, at this time, to focus completely on Precision Reflexology. It is separated into very easy to read and understand sections. The book covers, amongst other topics, treating the body's framework (skeleton), communication, nourishment, vital energy, reproduction and protection. All the sections have diagrams, pictures and case studies to help explain the chapter. I think you would be interested in this book if you are a) currently a practitioner interested in improving the depth and intensity of your treatment b) if you are interested in Reflexology and would like to know more about the therapy (perhaps before visiting a therapist) and c) if you are interested in becoming a therapist and want to know a little more about different techniques. It is, in all, a very entertaining and informative book. I highly recommend it.
