Product Description

From the Author

It's our latest (and most exhaustive!) look at the great holiday playground of Disneyland Paris, with all the lowdown on the new attractions of the Walt Disney Studios park - and the best way to enjoy it all. We love visiting this 'European' version of the great Disney experience, but it continues to blossom and grow, hence it needs a good guidebook to ensure you get maximum enjoyment from your visit. And we are confident we have the No.1 source of all the fun and excitement in store, fully up-to-date and with the complete array of info and tips for first-timers and repeat visitors alike. It's a real-life guide for real people who really want full value for their money. We have made this our life's work, so take us along and we can guarantee you'll have a great time!

About the Author

Simon and Susan Veness have been researching and writing about the Disney parks for more than 20 years and are widely acknowledged as Europe's foremost authorities on these great sources of holiday fun. Having started out as tourists themselves, they know the kind of info that people really need (as opposed to what the brochures would have you believe!), hence their style is tailor-made for ease of use and priority of information. Their writing can be found in a variety of guidebooks, newspapers, magazines and widely on the Internet, hence their work is highly regarded across the full media spectrum. The Brit Guide books remain their signature work, though, so you can be sure you're getting the very best of what they do with this ground-breaking series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cut queuing time & saved us money. Brilliant!! 13 Jun 2010
Don't attempt Disneyland without it! With the help of this book we never queued for longer than 20 minutes for a ride (and mostly just 5 to 10 minutes) and we went during the school half term holiday (end of May.) With planning beforehand and quick glimpses at the book in the hotel on an evening we knew just when to queue, when to sprint and when to sit back and enjoy a coffee. We ate at Planet Hollywood one night and saved over 12 euros on a meal for a family of four by showing the voucher in the book. Even if you don't use the vouchers it's still well worth the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! 17 April 2010
By E. Roe
We bought this to plan our trip to Disneyland Paris and weren't disappointed.
Loads of info and handy hints on how to make the most of your time and money in the parks.
We also got back more than the price we paid with the Planet Hollywood 20% off in the back cover!!

5.0 out of 5 stars don`t leave home without it!!! 23 Nov 2010
with our first trip to disneyland paris coming up and 6 days to spend there i needed to know what the score was over there. i have never been before, or to france for that matter. i always try and fly over it... anyhow with 4 kids to please and my bank balance in danger of total freefall i wanted to be sure i got my moneys worth. this book covers everything and is a life saver for a newbie like me. has just about every establishment in there and simple yet educational reviews of each place, best times to visit, better alternatives and such. i was also worried about a lot of the bad reviews but fear not, when you realise how many millions of people visit each year you will realise that those reviews represent such a minority it really isn`t worth considering. now i have my book i am getting quite excited by it all, not what you might expect of a 33 year old welder. a must buy and i recomend it.

Superficially a comprehensive guide that claims `It's a fact, nobody does it better'. Maybe no-one does it better in English for Disneyland Paris but compared to the guides to other Disney Theme Parks this is so poor. I have had to plan for a 5 night trip to DLP in January. My only experience of Disney was a highly enjoyable visit to Florida over 20 years ago. We used the `unofficial' guide (thank God not a `Brit' guide) which enabled us to avoid the usual traps and queues. This was completely honest, unbiased, pulled no punches and clearly included an enormous amount of detailed, statistical, original research into queuing patterns, customer dislikes and likes, clear reasoned suggestions for itineraries and so on.

I was hoping to find, in the Brit guide, similar detailed help for the DLP but there is none. This guide spends 32 pages describing how to get from the UK to the Park. Much of the information is out of date by the time the guide is published and who needs help getting from Hull to Zeebrugge, or Dover to Calais? Pure padding. I will be driving from the south of France, my friends from Ireland and, like 95% of drivers, the only help we need is a detailed map of the car parks plus information of hours of opening, distance from the car park to the main entrance, whether we can park at a village hotel or do we have to use the main car park, where do we park to pick up friends arriving by train, does the main car park ticket allow us to leave and return a couple of later without paying extra (say it starts pouring with rain and we want to visit the Auchon supermarket for a few hours), what are the merits of using our car rather than the shuttle bus if we are at the end on the shuttle run and so on. No information at all on any of these points.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good companion in the Disney madness 22 Oct 2010
A great guide for going to Disneyland Paris,
My only regret is that I didn't get the guide sooner to allow for better planning. I got my pictures with Mickey Mouse and friends and enjoyed the parades with a little insider knowledge. It's probably best to make your notes and take those rather than taking the book to the park as I found that I had my head in the book rather than enjoying myself. I felt that considering the cost of going to Disneyland this book changed the experience I had completely especially as there is little help within the actual park.

4.0 out of 5 stars seems a handy book
Seems very useful. However like another guide to disneyland it needs to take note that there is no campsite at the Davy Crockett Ranch.
