Book Description

17 Aug 2009
The Guide to a Dead Brilliant Funeral Speech is the handbook for those who are privileged to deliver funeral eulogies/speeches as a profession or for those called upon to speak at a funeral for the very first time. It is a light hearted yet powerful guide to helping funeral officiants deliver a memorable funeral speech that leaves an audience feeling, 'that was the best funeral I have ever attended'. Neil offers tools, tips and technical advice on how to communicate effectively at a funeral, in addition to humorous stories and reflections that point to radical changes taking place within the world of funeral ceremonies towards personalised and bespoke funeral services.

3.0 out of 5 stars This is a good beginner's book. 6 Aug 2010
By Rosie the Funeral Celebrant - Published on Amazon.com

This book provides material useful to the novice funeral celebrant. However, there are other books out there - and available through Amazon - that may be even more helpful. Before ordering this one, do a search on Amazon using "funeral celebrant" or "Doing funerals" to get started.

Doug Manning has the definitive approach to funeral celebrancy. If you check out [...] or search under his name in Amazon, you will find his works. He concentrates on the key to a good celebration of life: conveying the significance and meaning of a person's life, and the legacy she/he has left to family and friends.
