Review

'This well-written, easy-to-follow guide balances the heart of animation development with the key technical conventions. Visually stunning, it cleverly demonstrates tools and techniques across several digital platforms through the unique perspectives of successful animators. First I recommend challenging yourself with the self-test in Chapter 8, and then read the book from cover to cover. You'll have a blast' Anne M. White, Principal & Managing Director, TAG Chairperson, BDA/Board of Directors, PROMAX, Los Angeles, CA, USA 'This book is a must for all aspiring animators and for all media production students. I thoroughly recommend it.' Andrew Daffy, Co-Head 3D Commercials, FrameStore CFC, UK 'A visual treat... What a great resource for people new to the world of computer animation.' Mike Kroes at Creativecow.net

the character section is fictitious! 2 Oct 2004
By junkdupfunk - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I actually give this zero stars!!!

Part of this book was written by Martin Bowman, the section about character animation. I happen to know that Mr. Bowman does not know a thing about the subject and he knows that too!

I find it disgusting that a student may have bought this and wasted what little money they have. They are being decieved by this section of the book!! This is meant to be a teaching aid but his section just misinforms. There are plenty of books out there that are a thousand times better and are written buy people that have the knowledge and a wealth of experience of the subject matter they are writing about.
