5.0 out of 5 stars Some great Business advice with added Humour! 19 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A Guide to Business Failure is serious, quirky and funny. It encourages you to think long and hard about the dark financial side of business, particularly in the current UK recession. It gives a scary picture of business failure, but with added comedy value that makes it enjoyable as well as thought provoking. Although it still does leave some questions unanswered, like 'Why do insolvency practitioners wear red socks?!' A definite must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars HIlarious and educational too! 5 July 2012
By Fenn
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Even if you're familiar with the book The Failed Entrepreneur (and if you're not, start here, and I guarantee you'll go straight on to the main book!), this is very funny, a cuttingly sharp commentary on what to expect when it all goes belly up, with brilliant descriptions of the vultures that descend as the parasites drift away in search of a better meal. Fantastic cartoons too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but too short 24 Mar 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's short book anyway, so it's pretty difficult to describe it in many words. It is a big warning, not only for businessmen and businesswomen, but everybody. Message is clear and drastic. Definetly worth reading. It's funny, a bit dry, but hits a point well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great 9 Nov 2012
By High Voltage Processing - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
First off I never thought the author was bitter about anything like some reviewers suggested. I felt that he was giving some great information in a humorous way. Additionally, he never blamed anyone else for the failings and it was easy to see where he could have. In fact he blamed himself for everything. I wish there was a little more information about what went wrong and how did it happen.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Read 3 Aug 2012
By Aaron Werner - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A Guide to Business Failure is a fun read that I enjoyed very much. It is, however, quite short. I wish it were a little longer.
4.0 out of 5 stars Author has a great way of writing that gets the point across. 13 May 2014
By James Gannon - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was hoping for solutions rather than just the cause of the failure, but it is kind of inferred that if you don't watch your numbers, employees, and business conditions what can happen.
2.0 out of 5 stars A bit disappointing 1 Mar 2014
By Tyr - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I had read and enjoyed the author's other book, "The Failed Entrepreneur", so I was looking forward to this one. I was disappointed. Mr Ridler has a good sense of humour - as demonstrated in his other book - but it failed to shine through in this one. What I'm sure was intended to be humorous irony fell flat and came over as being bitter. I'm sure that wasn't the author's intention at all because he comes across as being the type who enjoys a wry look at life.
1.0 out of 5 stars Depressing and Sad 28 Nov 2013
By D. Polner - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a story of a guy who failed. It is exactly as it says. Depressing, single, now flying alone kind of failure. Broke and destitute, he lost everything. If you enjoy shedding tears for others, this is it. Otherwise, avoid it.
