- easy to read / dip into
- good source of soft skill information
- good source of how you should run analysis / projects with all parties
- easy layout, good descriptions
- useful to have alongside a project management guide
- it's basic compared to more advanced techniques such as Lean Six Sigma which requires a lot more of your brain to learn in full! (not forgetting the fact LSS is something you need to practice to really get it!)

- this is for anyone early on, it's not going to be much use to someone more advanced unless they have drifted into analysis from the business / operations end and need foundation guidance
- if you have learnt a more advanced set of techniques such as Lean Sign Sigma, you are going to look at this like the other reviewer and wonder "is that it?" since it's massively basic compared to LSS
- it's a good source to dip into as it's uncomplicated
- if you need a reference to the certifications, it's very easy to identify the sections you need to get to
- way overpriced for the number of pages, no glossy styles / all diagrams are rough black bold types
- perhaps best to get secondhand given the price if you want it on your desk or work or alongside the required hours courses for certification
- not sufficient enough to get you good at it, but with practice or alongside a course, it's less of an issue
- no examples as in many other books

I would recommend it as a desk manual for anyone new to business analysis or a seasonal analyst who has come from a business / operations background since you learn based on experience and others because this will fill in blanks and only give you ideas for improvement.

However, if you are looking for something more powerful, go for something like Lean Six Sigma plus there are much cheaper books. Just be prepared to need more brain cells for that!

Sadly, any business book endorsed or produced for a body or institution is always overpriced. The same can be said for PRINCE2 or PMI books.

If this is their complete body of knowledge, then they are in trouble. If you are looking for a guide that will actually help you do something concrete - then this isn't it.

This is a list of terms with a minimal level of detail. This won't help you become a BA, and if you are a BA looking for some specific knowledge, you won't find it in here in enough detail to be useful.
