I did not like Jenny Gucci at all. She comes across as a hard nosed, big headed, opportunist, who has an inflated opinion of her physical charms. In my opinion, the woman is by no means a looker. In fact, she is plain, bordering on ugly. But by her description of herself, you would think she was super model material! She patently set out to snag Paolo Gucci at any cost. She tries to enforce the notion she loved him. Impossible, the only person she loved, is herself! If her description is to be believed, then he treated her abominably during the long years of the divorce proceedings. She was entitled to support and certainly the daughter was. But, not once, did she ever think of getting off her backside and getting a job to bring in some much needed finances. Also, the private education she so craved for her daughter, should of been a luxury she could not afford. She had no shame in leeching off of her friends to continue to pay for her daughters education. (which incidentally, has proven no more successful than millions of state educated individuals) it should of been way down on the list of her priorities, as should of getting taxis' and the like. Never once did she try and be independent financially, she just sat around hoping she would get her dues. Personally, I think the woman is a parasite. If you hate a family the way she is supposed to hate Gucci, you do not retain their name! Yes, she is jumping on the Gucci bandwagon, but the book is worth a read, if only to marvel at the womans misappropriation of funds and her conceited oblivion to her own part in her financial demise.
