5.0 out of 5 stars A Different Kind of Angel 13 April 2013
Format:Paperback
Not all angels have fluffy white wings. In Guardian Angels, Book 1 of the Guardian Series, the Guardians are members of an elite group of humans with special powers. Some have telekinesis, some can control the elements, and some can even teleport. Above all, the Guardian's job is to serve and protect. Their first act when they appear on the scene is to save a little boy from getting hit by car when it should have been impossible, and the feats only get more incredible as time goes on. Whether its fighting crime or natural disasters, the Guardians arrive on the scene in the nick of time, every time. Their goal seems to be to provide peace around the globe, but not everyone believes they are all good Samaritans. While most of the world cheers them on, there is also a group of businessman with some powers of their own, and they have set their sites on turning the Guardians to the dark side or destroying their reputation in any way possible. The governments are also on the alert now that they know these miraculous abilities exist, and special people around the world are being abducted. The plot of the book is unique and there is a little of everything for science fiction fans from plasma staffs to space travel. I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series and especially learning more about the elusive overlord, Adam. The Guardians have a lot to overcome in this original sci-fi novel and it definitely left me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Guardian Angels (Guradian Series) 8 Oct. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
We purchased this book after meeting the author's wife on Kos Island. The story grabbed us from the first page and kept our interest all the way through. We read, on average, 3 books each per week and not many are hard to put down but this one was. To completely disagree with the only other reviewer to date, we thought that the characters were well drawn and became interested in them and what will happen to them during the series. The detail / explanations of events through this book were well written. One of the most popular series of books ever written did not develop all the characters and story lines in the first book (see Harry Potter) and to expect this book to do so would surely reduce any interest in those that are to follow. We eagerly await next spring for the second installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Guardian Angels 15 Nov. 2012
By Laika
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Very good. Not what I was expecting but it draws you in. Intriguing. This book is setting the scene, who they are, what they can do but it also leaves you asking questions. Why now? What's the bigger plan? Whats going on, hinting on a past event - is that a fall from grace of the most favoured one?? I think the next book is going to be an eye opener and I can't wait. Good read. Recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars On the Fringe of Reality! 14 Jan. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Just when you thought is was only a story Guardian Angels began to take on a deeper meaning, and one that really had me thinking . I had always believed in guardian angels and this just made it so real. This story had me hooked from the jump when an incredible miracle is witnessed by the public. This miracle then cascades into a series of many more earth shattering like events. Yes, thousands of people are being rescued from catastrophes all over the planet to come to find out it is a superior race with with beings that possess extraordinary psychic abilities including the power to cloak themselves for their missions. On the other side of the coin is the alarming rate of people gifted with special abilities being kidnapped by evil sources to use as a force against the Guardians. All hell breaks loose here as groups of people begin to have their doubts of what is happening. I have to say with all of the erratic weather and tragedies in our world today it really made this story very plausible. It really makes you think,"Do we already have these special Guardians in place or it is in our near future?" I am most excited to read volume two!
