After reading Sheltered by Charlotte Stein it was impossible not to buy up her back list and Guarded did not disappoint. This was a seriously hot fantasy erotic romance. Amina has been captured by a Maharaja from a foreign land. He needs her to read these scrolls for him that prophesy the future. Sometimes it's boring stuff and sometimes not, but for the most part, none of it concerns her. Her concern is trying to escape and she actually has decent success. It's just actually staying free that gives her the problem. Her two main guards, Ashan and Orin, are always hunting her down and bringing her back, but they don't treat her with anything less than kindness when they do. She's a frustration to them and it's pretty clear both men have feelings for her even though she's too innocent to realize it at first. But when her eyes are opened, oh boy, it gets hot. Because of the shorter length it would be hard to say much more without giving away spoilers, but there's a lot of depth for a novella. Amina, Orin and Ashan are all very likeable characters and there are some cute miscommunications along the way.

I don't think it's clear from the description so just a note that there is not any male/male action. The two males are all about pleasing Amina and they do a fine job. There were a few twists in this story and one big one that really surprised me at the end. If you like m/f/m ménages with well written sex scenes and a lot of emotion, this is the story for you.

Guarded is another hot title in the Bollywood series released by Total-E-Bound. Written by Charlotte Stein, this story is about Amina, a young woman captured by the Maharaja of Hadad and forced to read his prophetic scrolls. However, Amina is an extraordinarily determined woman, and she has escape on her mind. As a result, Ashan and Orin are assigned to guard her day and night. It doesn't lessen Amina's desire to escape, but the fact that the men are both very big and handsome means that she also has other things on her mind...

The next time Amina runs, the men are right behind her, but the increasing sexual tension between them means that this time, things are different. This time, there will be more than stern words and bound hands. And Amina couldn't be happier.

It appears that Ms. Stein is very fond of writing threesome stories - and when you've read hers, you'll know why! Guarded is packed full of tension, repression, heat and pure eroticism. So if you're looking for a sensual m/f/m threesome tale with a Bollywood theme, then you've found it.

My only problem with this story is that I wanted more. More background, more detail more fleshing out of the characters. This would have made a great novel with more words. What there was was excellent though.
Dont let another reviewer's problem with the ending put you off. The ending is satisfying and makes perfect sense.
