I hesitate to be negative and this is probably suitable for most people. Unfortunately the cross-pieces are twist-and-lock, rather than being spring-loaded as I had assumed. This means you must slightly over-extend them, then jam them into position... since I have paint on one side of the aperture and wallpaper on the other I cannot seriously contemplate jamming a couple of sticks across the gap each night, scuffing the paint and tearing the paper. So, not suitable in my case but possibly ideal for other people.

I have seen negative reviews for this dog guard, not sure why. It is easy to adapt to different door sizes, even out small doorways at our Crofthouse. Light portable and exactly what we have been looking for. It hangs so well that you don't even need to use the bottom (would depend on how well behaved the dogs is though)!!

Not very impressed, may keep a toy dog in but not alot else!!! Not easy to fix into doorway properly.
