I bought this not really sure if it was any good (didn`t really matter as could have returned it) We`ve had don`t know how may hand "dust bugs" cleaners...okay,they`re a lot cheaper than this one, BUT that`s where the comparison ends.....we`ve got 2 dogs,a chinchilla and a parrot & this is BRILLIANT for the hairs & animal food coming out of their cages. It`s use is limited ONLY by the fact that if we leave the dogs hairs too long they are compacted into the carpet pile when you tread them in, & then you have to use a mains powered hoover. Basically, use it within its limitations.

Ok, I'm a techie and have a mechanical/technical background so hopefully that'll help you understand my points here...
I purchased the SW20 for keeping my downstairs porcelain-tiled areas clean of dust and pet hairs after reading lots of reviews.
Pros:
On my very smooth tiled floors, it picks up large debris with ease but takes a couple of goes on anything smaller. Sometimes I lift the back up to ensure the roller is touching the floor surface and that seems to do the trick though a little annoying.
Cons:
Removing the dirt tray can be a little tricky as it relies on pushing a button out of an indent. Fight too much and the muck goes back onto the floor...
It's quite a noisy little thing.
Needs lifting for very flat floors.
Edge cleaning on one side only.
Doesn't pick dirt out of the grout lines.
If you pull backwards over dirt, it will not pick it up - it will pick it up on the forward path. I know this might sound obvious but it makes you think everytime you move it back and forth...
Conclusion:
I should have stayed with my soft broom...

I had seen this advertised and thought it might be a good idea to use between vacuuming. We have 1 dog and 4 cats so I thought this might be the answer without having to haul out the vac. It is smashing - we are delighted with it.
