The DAB radio reception on this device is very good (the aerial needs to be carefully positioned!) and many stations are available, most with great reception. It looks great when the black 'coachwork' is shiny, but does tend to look dusty after a while.

Amazon Verified Purchase
This bedside clock/alarm is outstanding value when you consider you get full DAB functionality and it will also take your IPOD. The speaker is more than adequate for a bedside clock and it has a battery back-up to ensure the settings are not lost when disconnected from the mains.
Plus points
* Price - outstanding value
* Genuine IPOD compatibility with a pack of plastic inserts to accommodate any IPOD model to date
* DAB functionality, with the clock time/date functions automatically set via the DAB connection so it's always 100% right
* It also does FM - though if you get your DAB signal right you're unlikely to use this facility (unless your favourite station is not yet available thru DAB)
* Two alarms
* Choose either 12- or 24-hour display format
* You can choose from four levels of brightness for the clock display, which is a soothing electric blue
* Battery back-up so you won't lose your settings in case of power cuts or if you want to move it to another location
* Big square flush navigation buttons on top that you simply have to press down on with your fingers, for ease of use when you're half asleep and can't see too well
Minus points
* The set-up is not intuitively designed and you have to work through the instructions carefully to get it right
* Setting the alarm time and activating it is a fiddly business - though once you've done it, it works
* The flexible trail-aerial has to be positioned carefully as the DAB reception isn't great in most locations: a metal telescopic might have been better
* On my clock, the back-up battery was flat on delivery and needed immediate replacement (it's the small metal disk type)
* It takes up a fair amount of space for a bedside clock, though in compensation you do get a good big speaker
Overall, if you can tolerate a few minor niggles, it's an outstanding buy. There is nothing else available at this price which offers both the convenience of DAB function and IPOD compatibility.
