I got this player last week, after using a pc LG 8x dvd drive with Creative Labs DXR3 decoder board through my Denon AVR1801 amp and AE AEGIS home theatre speakers.

Sound exceeds the pc option with more detail, and clear surround focus. Picture is just as good, if not slightly better then the DXR3 offered.

Audio cd playback really impressed me, with better detail, and a more open midrange to my Sherwood 5-disk player. MP3 playback sounds more full with a more natural sound then that of Winamp through my SB Live Value card.

A nice package, good features, good remote, mod finish at a good price makes this Grundig unit a great buy.
