John Lee has produced a very well written book on the subject of emotional regression (permanent or temporary) to childhood. His modest style, wonderfully free from jargon or theorising, enables the individual to see clearly where many present day difficulties have their origins. Above all, the author makes very helpful, practical suggestions for handling present day situations differently and without regressing again. My only reservation is that a few of the sitiuations described are more complex than simple regression and would need specific expert help. Overall a very good self help book that provides ample help and numerous "how to" tips.

The opening chapter of this book struck me as somehow obvious and yet as a life changing revelation. The advice given in the remainder of the book is through anecdote and examples is easily understood and practical. Putting it into practice is not so simple and I will be re-reading this book again as I struggle to live as an adult in the present.
