Anyone who has seen that classic series . . Auf Wiedersehen, Pet . . will immediately remember Jimmy Nail as the crazy, beer drinking slob . . "Oz".
This album is a galazy away from this fictional character.
Jimmy Nail has an amazing voice - in the higher register - and carries each and every song with style and class. Only the first track got major play on air and it is the only "uppy" on the album.
The other tracks are slower - more bluesy - and full of emotion and depth, carried beautifully on Jimmy's hauntingly smokey voice.
The first track may have been chosen as the single off this CD - but buy it - and listen to the LAST TRACK . . for me "Absent Friends" is just fantastic and equally entitled to be a single.

This album is one of my faves - it does not have 1 bad song on it, it's really enjoyable, and i like it also to chill out too.

I could not order this on itunes so decided to try and get a hard copy. I went with this seller as he had a no quibble return policy. Very fast delivery, the item was exactly as described. He also sent another free CD (due to 'having a clear out')which is curiously one of my favourite artists. All in all excellent; I would highly recommend.
