At first, I wondered what a DTS version of an album could actually add, and then I got it home and played it. For those who don't know - DTS is Digital Theatre Systems, which means that the sound has been remixed for 6 digital surround channels (5.1). Attempting to play on a stereo system, at best sounds muffled in places and at worst can damage your speakers. However, when played on my setup at home, the remixing engineer really knew his job and the material. Not only did each track make use of the suround, but seemed clearer. On the same system, the standard CD of 'Growing,Pains' seemed pale by comparison, excellent though it is. For collectors of Billie's work, the bonus acoustic version of Kiss The Rain (not present on the standard CD album) has an outstanding ambient rainstorm thats makes use of the surround sound for additional thunder cracks in the distance and overhead. Definitely one to recommend for Billie (Myers) fans.
