Chapman Fans Need This One!,
By
This review is from: Growing Pains 2: Unissued 69-86 (Audio CD)
This is rather good for Michael Chapman fans and enthusiasts, kind of a legal bootleg of some of his (excellent) early works which have previously remained unreleased, and is well worth, and worthy of, adding to the collection.
The first 4 tracks are live from Southampton University Folk Club in 1969, with Michael on acoustic guitar and vocals. 5 through to 9 are from an unknown studio in London in 1978, and features MC on vocals and guitar, Ray Martinez on guitar, Rick Kemp on bass, Keef Hartley on drums and Brian Chapman on keyboards. Track 10 with its different parts is MC on guitar, bass and drums from Phoenix Studios, Brampton, Nr. Carlisle in 1986. The whole album is excellent Chapman music from start to finish, and clocking in at 75 minutes playing time, if you're a fan of his, you need this one.
