Review

Grow Youthful should be issued as the owner's manual for the human body. The breadth and depth of this book is not just about living longer; it is about living better. This is not a motivational, inspirational self-help book; it is a roll-up-your-sleeves, comprehensive, how-to book in the most operational sense. If you like life enough to want to stick around for as along as you can, and if you find the idea of taking excellent care of yourself --- body, mind & spirit --- appealing, and if you are ready to accept full responsibility for your life, David Niven Miller's book is essential reading. And the next time a friend or relative gives birth, give them a copy of this book, but before you do, tape a big label with bold print across the front cover that says, "OWNER'S MANUAL." Thom Rutledge, Author of Embracing Fear: How to Turn What Scare Us into Our Greatest Gift Grow Youthful is a clear, comprehensive, and impeccably researched guide to care for yourself - body and soul. If you want to take responsibility for living a much longer, healthier and more functional life, this book says it all. Marci Shimoff, Co-Author, Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul In Grow Youthful, David Miller presents the reader with a concise and practical guide to both the art and the science of cultivating health and longevity at home. Meticulously researched and clearly written, this book sifts the grains of fact from the chaff of fiction in the growing field of holistic self-health care. Most importantly, Miller writes his book from the heart as well as the mind, providing his fortunate readers with a manual that conveys the spirit as well as the letter of the laws of life. Daniel Reid, author of The Tao of Health, Sex, and Longevity, The Tao of Detox, and The Complete Book of Chinese Health & Healing Grow Youthful is an essential guide to slow down or reverse the ravages of aging. A must read for anyone who is seeking a healthier future! Gary Quinn, bestselling author, Living In The Spiritual Zone I really like your book! I am impressed with the comprehensiveness of your whole approach and your willingness to go into everything that pertains to healthful living and to youthfulness at any age. I will recommend it to friends and clients and am very happy to endorse it for you. Brad Blanton, Ph.D., author of Radical Honesty: How to Transform Your Life by Telling the Truth and Beyond Good and Evil: The Eternal Split-Second Sound-Light Being Grow Youthful is an outstanding A-Z resource, and long overdue in the marketplace. When the wisdom and research contained herein are balanced with one's own instinctual needs and tastes, the resulting "recipe" must inevitably yield a happier and healthier life. Mike Dooley, writer of Notes from the Universe and Infinite Possibilities, www.tut.com Bravo! Grow Youthful is a marvellous book truly welcoming us into a new age of well-being in mind, body and spirit! I encourage everyone to read it carefully and be prepared for youthful feelings and facial expressions as well as a healthier body as you take in what David shares. Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein, Positive Psychologist, www.enchantedself.com, Author of THE ENCHANTED SELF, A Positive Therapy: Recipes for Enchantment, The Secret Ingredient is YOU! and DELIGHT. David has done a wonderful job of putting together an enormous amount of research with his own personal experience. If you want to grow youthful, read and take this book to heart. He addresses every aspect of self-care. Margaret Paul, Ph.D. author of Do I Have To Give Up Me To Be Loved By You?, Healing Your Aloneness, Inner Bonding, and Do I Have To Give Up Me To Be Loved By God? This is a high quality, practical, beneficial book that invites you to go to the realm of rejuvenation and the sheer happiness of being alive. Also an eruption of spontaneous healing can happen by following it. It gives you the inner urge to change your vibrations and become the best you can be. Sondra Ray, author of l7 books, most recently Relationships Treasury This is an extremely comprehensive book. It tells you everything you need to know about how to age youthfully and happily, retaining your health, energy, wellness, and biological youth while advancing in age. It's especially good regarding maintaining a youthful lifestyle, with relaxation techniques and sex. It is honestly written and direct. It is essential reading, and I thoroughly recommend it. Dr Karlis Ullis, MD author of The Hormone Revolution Weight Loss Plan, Age Right, and Super "T" Your book is a very readable and balanced treatment of slowing ageing. I enjoyed it! I particularly enjoyed the systematic unpacking of alternatives in a wide range of areas. Dr Richard Broome, Transcendental Meditation teacher, international management consultant and facilitator

Product Description

Why do some people have vital health and youthful looks at 70, when others are already sick and old at 35? Over the millennia, many extraordinary people have lived well beyond a century. Some of them have achieved their life's greatest work in their old age. They have shown that it is possible to have health and vitality right up to the end of a long and fulfilling life. This easy to understand book reveals many of their secrets. Supported by recent scientific research, it cuts through much of the jargon and conflict concerning health and longevity. David Niven Miller writes in such a common-sense way that most of the book will seem obvious once you have read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most helpful step-by-step guide, 29 Sep 2007
By Bhagawati "Bhagawati" (Bali, Indonesia) - See all my reviews
What a refreshing approach to `grow youthful' and not growing old and decrepit! I read this book from cover to back and was inspired by the many intelligent and easy to implement suggestions on how to improve my life-style and food intake. The meticulous and wide ranging research is easy to understand. The author explains the impact of unnatural foods in a way that makes the reader think twice about picking up processed food or `nuke' food in a microwave oven just to "save time", which is a shortcut that eventually will result in a much shorter lifespan, fraught with unnecessary dis-eases.
This is a wonderful step-by-step guide to consult time and again to help achieve and maintain a healthy body for the remainder of my life.

Here is a book written by someone who has walked his talk, done the journey himself and come up with discoveries which may just help you too. A common sense, easy to read, easy to apply book - which if followed, might just help you feel younger longer - something we all want. Read it and enjoy the simple discoveries - you owe it to yourself.
