Charlie Dimmock shot to stardom as one of the presenters of the Ground Force series. When not busy with the series, she works full-time at a water garden nursery in Romsey.

Tommy Walsh is the hard landscaping expert on the Ground Force series. When he’s not working on the programme, Tommy runs his own building business in Hackney, East London.

A great book that shows you step by step how you too can achieve some of the looks that Ground Force manage to achieve on TV.

I'm now the proud owner of a well-stocked garden, that manages to combine the growing of vegetables with abundant flowers.

Recommend this to anyone!!!

I am such a huge fan of everything the Groundforce Team did! Especially when Alan Titchmarsh was with them. (why did they have to break up such a great team?).

Anyhow, I suppose it was after watching the Team's exploits one night that i looked out the wondow and saw the sorry state of my own Garden, and decided to do something about it!

What a better place to start than Amazon - see what was available, what it cost, and how soon I could get it (I don't have access to a major bookstore on a regular basis).

There were a huge number of possibilities...but after reviewing a few - I felt this was a good general choice, and how right that turned out to be!

Since purchasing, I have managed to make a few Garden Alterations, always under the clear and helpful descriptions as outlined in the book. It's concise, and thourough assisting with pictures and diagrams wherever possible.

While it tries to encourge, we all know that good gardening (like the experts do), requires a little flair (as well as the hard work), and while I was not lacking the latter, the former is a little more hard to come by...

Ah well, at least I have Charlie Dimmock on my bookshelf! What more could a man want?
