This is a bargain at £10.
I chose to get a scooter for my 5 year old, because he is no longer confident on his bike (with stabilisers)after a couple of falls. Someone told me that a two wheel scooter is a great way for children to gain confidence in their balance. Unlike a bike, it is so much easier for them to skip off when they lose balance, that they are unlikely to have falls.
From my point of view, the scooter is also much better than his bike because it is so small and lightweight. Not only could you carry it one hand, but it easily folds up (without the need for tools), and I hook mine over the back of my baby's pushchair. You can literally 'take it anywhere'.
I have also tried out the scooter myself, and it is great fun. The handles extend for taller people to use them (again - without the need for tools)- so your child can continue using it as he grows.
Long term, I would love to see my boy ride a bike, but for now, this is a good alternative, and at £10 you can't really find anything to complain about.

My childhood scooter was homemade and was my favourite toy-good for carrying bags of coal.I bought the Nebulus for my Granddaughter. After scooting up and down our hallway I have decided to adopt it and get her a replacement. Then we can scoot together in the future.I am only a few pounds over weight!!!Do you think I might be overdoing it at the age of 70?
The scooter is well made and quickly foldable so I can collapse it and stick it behind me if anyone thinks I have lost my marbles. Not so sure about the helmet and kneepads though!!!

My son already had a scooter but it was too big and cumbersome for him, this micro scooter is perfect, he gets around on it so much quicker. For the price, you will not beat this scooter!

No lock nut on the headset bearings, so they came loose after first play on the scooter, adjustment on the bearing nut is terrible so when upright stem is tight the steering is stiff, when steering is acceptable the bearing nut is too loose and play in the upright and will obviously vibrate looser.

The handlebar grip inserts flop around like a lizard in a tin, secured only by a pushfit poppet adds to imprecise nature of steering.

whether it was just the one we received or is more standard, other recent reviews on this page seem to indicate these scooters are commonly crap. I wondered if we received the one the other complainant about the handlebars sent back.

I'd say these scooters not even suitable for the most slow and tentative of riders as the steering is so imprecise.

It is not fair on people who purchase these scooters thinking they will get a safe enough scooter for Children. Only positive thing to say is it looks quite good, so if you want a scooter to stick on your mantelpiece then maybe this is the one.

The first day my son got this scooter he fell off a few times claiming that the wheels kept stopping and he kept flying off, I thought he just needed more practice. On closer inspection we noticed that the entire front had been put on backwards meaning that the wheel could not turn properly when the handle bars were leant on, therefore when he built up speed the front wheel stopped, making it dangerous.

I bough the scooter for my 8year old grandson to take to the caravan on holiday. When recieved I had to loosen the wheels they would not spin, and the plastic pull up to fold the handlbars down does not work.My grandson enjoyed playing on it with his friends but kept bringing it back to straightn and tighten the handlebars .I suppose it was o.k. for the price but I wish I had paid more for a better Quality

Cheap and cheerful - looks sturdy enough for my eight year old to hurl around - can't see the point of spending alot of money for something that will get trashed anyway - it makes him smile and that's enough for me!
Update: scooter lasted about six months because the gap between the brake and the wheel was too narrow so stones and debris when flicked up got trapped in the gap and so you suddenly couldn't depress the brake - tricky if you're hurtling downhill and also tricky when you get home and the gap is too narrow to prise the bits out to clear it - gave up in the end as it was happening too often now have an 'untrashable' JD Bug
