If you have read Martin Oliver's other books, like 'Dead Dinosaurs' or 'Spilling the Beans on Blackbeard', you will appreciate how he puts knowledge across, in a humorous way. This book is no exception.

An informative and amusing introduction to the subject.
The book is well-illustrated and includes some great anecdotes about the movie industry and how it operates.
A few minor criticisms. One of these is that the book focusses almost entirely on the US film industry and Hollywood with barely a mention of the British, European or Asian studios. Secondly, there is at least one error: Mae West and Busby Berkeley are certainly not the only movie figures to have given their names to other things.
Nevertheless, a great little book guaranteed to entertain and interest....
