I bought this pogo stick for my neice and also bought two spongebob ones and a Ben 10 one for my daughter and her friends. They are impossible for them to use! Even with my adult body weight of 8 and a half stone i struggled to get it to bounce up and down, so for them it was impossible. They are all 6 years old and the age stated on the pogo stick is 5+ but there is no way they can use it.. Complete waste of money really on my part and a useless toy for them now they cant even use it! Very disappointing!

When it was new it was rock solid and hardly moved. I phoned the manufacturer who explained that the spring was especially strong because a childs' weight when bouncing is effectively 2 or 3 times their static weight and true enough when you get on it and actually jump it works well. After a few days of practice my 9 year old niece was happily bouncing around the garden with plenty of spring.
