My faithful old boots started letting in water last October. So off I went to a local outdoor store & bought a new pair of adequate hiking boots. They took ages to wear in, caused more than a few sore places, but were getting there. After a particularly wet & boggy walk I left my soggy newish boots near the back door, intending to deal with them later. The waste bin is also by the back door, and my hubby decided that I was throwing them away..Yeah, why? I was not very pleased with him to say the least! So I needed some more new boots.I wasn't familiar with the Grisport name. I really wanted a leather pair, and as the North Face ones were SO reduced I was very tempted. But a little nag in my ear was asking WHY are the North Face ones reduced so drastically? So I read around the reviews posted on all the ladies' leather boots. Thank goodness I did. These boots are everything previous reviewers have claimed ........ and more. I was out walking in them on the day they arrived & they felt as tho I'd been wearing them for ages. They are shamefully comfortable, they keep my feet dry in the peat bogs, and warm. They are so much easier to get on and fasten than my last pair. I've enthused so much that my hubby (yes, the guy who threw the other ones away) has bought a pair of similar mens Grisport boots - and guess what? He loves them. Don't look anywhere else, these are the best hiking boots around and a great price too. Oh yes; he's forgiven!
