This album is simply beautiful and starts as it means to go on, what a classic album, should be in every rock fans collection, it is that simple.

The first track is just brilliant, now do I buy the remastered version or stick with my CBS copy??

Shame Gary is gone, a sad loss to the music world, a natural guitar player and a good chap to boot.

After Skid Row, Gary has his own band - and gives us a glimpse of what's ahead - with mix of Frenetic Rock guitar and Beautiful Ballads - Sail Across the Mountain still one of my favourite GM tracks ever.

His 1st solo album- Great raw guitar. 8 Feb 2001

Format:Audio CD
After 2 albums with his band Skid Row, Gary recorded "Grinding Stone" in 1973. This album was not that much different than the music he had done before,but it was better, more polished. It is a must for any hard-core fan. Gary is one of the best guitarists of all-time, this cd does not prove that yet; but shortly after this with Colosseum II and Thin Lizzy; Gary is on top of the heap. His style got more refined and became easier to listen to. This cd was a great start of things to come.

I bought this about a year and half ago and when i started listening to it i was very pleased. This album has a little bit of everything ranging from blues all the way to fusion and even progressive. Gary Moore shows us that he's very elite in his field.

If you want something different and refreshing, do yourself a favor and buy this ASAP!!!!
